Unbleached Kraft Pulp
Port Townsend Paper’s Olympic brand unbleached kraft pulp is a blend of Northwest softwood fibers, predominantly Douglas fir and Western hemlock, designed for consistently high strengths, bulk, and uniformity.
Grades
- Olympic 15 – designed for fiber reinforced cement applications
- Olympic 16 – great for linerboard, sack kraft and speciality products
- Olympic 16YB – a brighter version of our Olympic 16
- Olympic 19 – a premium Douglas fir pulp
Our pulp is dried, sheeted, baled and unitized for convenient shipping and handling.
Pulp bale dimensions:
- Approximately 500lb gross
- 31″W x 32-33″L x 17-18″H
- Packaging–bales wrapped with pulp sheet and 4 wires
Unitizing:
- 7 unitizing wires
- Sold by Air Dry Weight (based on 10% moisture)

Unbleached Kraft Paper and Containerboard
Port Townsend Paper’s unbleached Kraft paper and Kraft containerboard is a blend of Northwest long fibers and OCC (recycled corrugated boxes), designed with high quality for efficient converting and end customer satisfaction.
Our paper machine is a Metso Fourdrinier singly-ply machine. We produce unbleached kraft paper, linerboard, and medium basis weights ranges of 17# to 42# (lb/1,000 sq ft). Kraft paper grades include general converting, wet strength and dyed grades.
Basis Weights:
- 17#/msf – 42#/msf
- 50 lb/3msf – 126 lb/3msf
- 80gsm – 205gsm
Machine Trim:
- Basis weight up to and including 18#/msf – 234″
- Basis weight above 18#/msf – 236″
Roll Sizes:
- Roll widths up to 122″
- Roll diameter from 50″ to 60″
Order sizes:
- Minimum order size for standard grades is 25 tons
- Minimum order for specialty grades is 50 to 100 tons
