Community

As one of the largest private employers in the area, we have a tremendous responsibility toward helping to keep the community a wonderful place to live.

Company employees deserve much credit for making this possible. The high quality of our pulp and paper products is the result of the skill and conscientious endeavors of our people who have made Port Townsend their home and have helped create a community of which we can be proud.

Port Townsend Paper maintains active memberships on teams that address local environmental issues such as the Climate Action Committee. To read more about our commitment to the environment, health, and safety, please read our Sustainability Statement. We provide specialized safety training to our employees, local emergency response teams and others.

The Company participates in many other groups and on many other projects that support community businesses, economics, education, and youth activities. Among these are the Port Townsend Rotary Club, Economic Development Council, Jefferson Land Trust, Jefferson County Historical Society, Jefferson Healthcare Foundation, Northwind Arts Center, Fort Discovery for Wounded Warriors, All County Picnic, Jefferson County Fair, Port Townsend Independence Day Celebration, and others.
